Hello once again.

Work seems to bog me down time and time again and I should be more consistent.

This is a very important gameweek because 1. It is a double gameweek for some teams. 2. It is the week that I use my wildcard.

Liverpool, Chelsea, Hull and Leicester play twice this gameweek but for obvious reasons, I'm not going to invest in any Hull players. The same reasoning can be used for Leicester players except for the fact that they are a team that can actually score goals and their recent form has been good. Thus, I've decided to bring in King. Did I mention that he is cheap and has low ownership?

It looks almost certain that Chelsea will bring home the title this season and will do some by play somewhat more defensively. No team is going to risk losing the title with adventurous attacking play. The attacking team may rotate to give other players a chance, but the defensive team should certainly remain status quo. For that reason, I've decided to bring in Cahill and Courtois. Terry and Ivanovic are too expensive while Azpilicueta may be rotated with Luis, thus Cahill is the obvious choice.

Skrtel plays a double gameweek too and they'll be fully focused on trying to attain 4th place in BPL. He will have no problem achieving game time, and possibly some cleansheets especially against Hull and West Brom. Because of his number of tackles and his tendency to venture into to opponent's half during corners, he has a high chance to bag extra/bonus points.

Lescott is a good substitute for Wisdom, which is by far my greatest burden this season. Clyne and Wollscheid are good alternatives and reasonably priced.

Midfielders are the gamechangers this seasons, they frequently attain the most points for every game week. I shall not talk about the obvious - Harzard, Sanchez. I've mentioned King already. Bolasie looks to be on form and is a very skillful player with Alan Pardew doing a really good job at Crystal Palace. Likewise, Henderson is emerging as the new leader in Liverpool. He is a box to box midfielder who can provide assist. The only person who may 'steal' these assist is Coutinho. Was considering getting Countiho in but Henderson is much cheaper!

The only top grade/expensive striker getting is Aguero. He is not injured and he can score both Home and Away. Kane is another must-have in FPL and Austin has an erratic form but proves to be lethal in front of goal.

I've made 8 changes to my team and this is the team that is going to carry me forward to the end of the season.

Wish me luck.

It's Gametime AGAIN!

I'm having a really horrific backline with my new signing naughton getting injured and Wisdom still not getting gametime. However, I'm not opting to take a 4 point hit as I'll be using my wildcard fairly soon (most likely week 34).

Therefore, my most optimal decision now is to bring in players who can bring in points for this game week. I always favour a home team because statistically speaking, most teams play better at home than away. Among all the fixtures, perhaps the biggest disparity in terms of skill/form/goal tally is between Saints vs Hull. Hull has a terrible away record while Saints are solid at home. Granted that Saints haven't exactly been doing well in the last few games, but they have enough quality to put in multiple goals against a demoralized side. Don't get about that  8 - 0 that happened earlier this season, I'm looking to Pelle as many Top players do not have him in their team. I watched him play for Italy during the International week and its evident that he still poses a threat in the air/ground. This game is also important for Saints if they want to remain in contention for a Euro spot. Saints will definitely field their strongest side, which includes Pelle!

Week 31

Apologies for posting this after the gameweek is over. It has been a crazy week for me but it's not a valid excuse for my tardiness.

My analysis was done before the match and I chose to bring in Ki because there was a possibility that Ozil and Costa would not play, hence I needed coverage in the midfield. I chose to bench Ki as I wanted Ozil and Costa to play, and have Ki as my back-up. Wisdom doesn't seem to be getting game time even though West Brom has a injuries-filled backline. It's time for me to sub him out but I'll wait until I use my wildcard before taking him out. Don't want to take a point hit especially since my general game plan is to play with 3 defenders.

Post-match analysis:

Who would have thought that Ki would have scored and attained a score of 9. However, looking back, I doubt I'll have done anything differently. Going forward, Costa seems to be injured for at least another week, but I have to consider Chelsea having a DGW soon; Aguero seems to have lost his form and has a derby match-up against a resurgent Man United next week; Downing has lost his first half season form and is satisfied getting a weekly 2 point; I'm heavily invested in Spurs with 3 players when their form has been erratic.

I'll consider all these factors and most likely look to bringing in a midfielder/forward. Stay tune as I'll make my decision much earlier this time! And that's a promise.

Below is how I performed for this past gameweek.
